<p>Sport has been an integral part of human life, beyond competition and entertainment, sport is a passion that enriches our lives in multiple ways.</p>

<p>Sport is not only a lifestyle and entertainment, but it is also essential to maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Regular exercise strengthens the body, improves cardiovascular health and helps maintain an appropriate body weight. It also reduces the risk of chronic diseases, such as diabetes and heart disease.</p>

<p>Keeping your body active in an increasingly busy world, sports provide an outlet for stress. Physical activity releases endorphins, mood-enhancing hormones, and reduces stress levels. Whether it&#8217;s on the soccer field, the tennis court or the gym, sports offer a needed respite from daily pressures and routine.</p>

<p>On the other hand, sports are a wonderful way to bring families and communities together. Sporting events are best enjoyed in company, whether at the stadium or in front of the television. In addition, local leagues and community teams encourage social interaction and the building of strong relationships.</p>

<p>On the other hand, it helps to eradicate social problems by promoting respect and teamwork. Practicing a sporting discipline has proven to be a powerful tool, capable of combating some of society&#8217;s problems; it is possible to unite people with different backgrounds and beliefs.</p>

<p>People who have a sports routine in their daily life have a better quality of life, whether it is going for a run, taking long walks, playing a game of soccer with friends or doing yoga, practicing a sport will make you healthier and help you maintain a good mood, in addition to staying happier and more energetic thanks to the benefits of physical activity.</p>

<p><strong>Some of the sports that can be practiced are:</strong></p>

<li><strong>Hiking:</strong> Exploring hiking trails is a great way to get in touch with nature and reduce your environmental impact.</li>

<li><strong>Cycling:</strong> Opt for the bicycle for a ride through natural areas.</li>

<li><strong>Outdoor Yoga:</strong> Practicing yoga in a park or on the beach combines physical activity with spiritual connection and relaxation.</li>
</ul>

<p>In addition to individual sports, team sports, especially team sports, promote teamwork, effective communication and cooperation. Athletes learn to trust their teammates, to respect rules and to resolve conflicts constructively. These skills are transferable to everyday life and are essential in the workplace and social settings.</p>

<p>Sport is more than a game; it is a lifestyle that embraces the promotion of physical, mental and emotional well-being. It also has the power to unite communities and teach core values. Embracing sports as an integral component of your life can be the key to maintaining an active and healthy lifestyle. Whether you play on a team, practice individual sports or simply enjoy physical activity. In our Sustainable Agroforestry Park we have a firm conviction that sports and sustainability go hand in hand to create a harmonious and healthy environment. In addition in Pasac all the public will have access to physical activity workshops and together we can work towards a better future, taking care of the green areas and taking care of our health.</p>

									<p></p><p>Throughout generations and very accelerated demographic changes in Tijuana such as overpopulation, many of us residents go to supermarkets to shop for fresh fruits and vegetables, so that having so much population, prices tend to rise and sometimes not have access to these foods to carry out a balanced diet.</p><p></p><p></p><p>So the term <strong>environmental education</strong> could be the key, implementing community gardens provide educational opportunities to teach people about sustainable agriculture, the importance of biodiversity and water conservation.</p><p></p><p></p><p>Many people do not have the knowledge to start growing their own food and be self-sustainable, this is due to the little diffusion and workshops that are not normally offered in Mexico.</p><p></p><p></p><p>I explain a little of what you learn in environmental education, topics such as ecology, conservation, climate change, natural resources, sustainability, environmental ethics and citizen participation. There are also workshops to learn how to create your own garden and grow your own food such as fruits and vegetables.</p><p></p><p></p><p>Thus, the creation of gardens in urban areas such as Tijuana would benefit in increasing the availability of fresh and healthy food for the local community. This is especially relevant in areas where access to fresh produce may be limited. As well as care and awareness of respect for the environment and the nature that connects us.</p><p></p><p></p><p>Especially in a world where climate change and extreme events are becoming more frequent, the ability to produce food locally can increase community resilience in the event of a crisis.</p><p></p><p></p><p>As well as adopting a vegetable garden at home allows you to save on the shopping basket and get healthier products to take care of your family&#8217;s diet or you could have an extra income by selling these resources, as well as helping to reduce the environmental impact.</p><p></p><p></p><p>Because of these issues in this project we care about enriching our environment, being PASAC a sustainable agroforestry park will not only provide fresh food, but will also encourage social interaction, teamwork and a greater respect for the environment. The community will benefit from a green space where they can connect with the land and with each other.</p><p></p><p></p><p>At the heart of the park, we will find community gardens. Here, residents and volunteers will be able to join together to grow a variety of crops. From fruits to vegetables, these gardens will be a source of fresh, organic food for the community where everyone will have access to and be able to put into practice what they have learned in workshops, talks and recreational activities to connect with nature and the people we care about.</p><p></p>								</div>

This can include a connection to the earth and a desire to protect the environment. Just as there is the spirituality of connection to self, to society and religion it all depends on people&#8217;s lifestyles and beliefs.</p><p></p><p></p><p>Another important point of spiritual connection is that it is not only based on connecting with oneself and nature, it also helps to be more aware of our relationship with others, it gives us a broader perspective on our lives, which helps us not to take things so personally, human beings are the same in essence, although they have different ways of expressing. It not only helps in our relationships with others, but also in different aspects of our lives such as work, health, learning, social, etc.</p><p></p><p></p><p>Spirituality is a highly personal experience, and what is meaningful and beneficial for one person may not be for another. <p>I share with you a story that happened a couple of days ago, at the beginning of the week I saw an advertised cardigan for sale, this in one of the neighborhood groups of which I am part. I sent a message to ask the price.</p>



<p>It took me several days to meet the person who was promoting it, until we finally managed to meet. The cardigan came to me, I measured it and I said yes, of course, and I bought it.</p>



<p>During the purchase of this article, I talked a little bit with the previous owner of the cardigan, Denisse.</p>



<p>She commented on the color of the cardigan. <strong>&#8220;The color is very beautiful, I almost got it, but my daughter told me that she didn&#8217;t have clothes to match it&#8221;</strong>.</p>



<p>For my part, I told her that it was ideal for me, since the color was perfect for the association where I am the director, Pasac. Briefly, I shared with her our main objective, which is to build a sustainable park on one hectare in the Sanchez Taboada neighborhood, that we will have an urban orchard and plant trees.</p>



<p>He showed interest and asked me about the trees that would be planted. To which I told him that this detail is being defined with the help of our urban garden master, Samuel Perez. This is the result of a list of what will be planted to create a healthy and functional ecosystem for the area.</p>



<p>Denisse with joy and genuine warmth told me that she would be sharing with me a list of fruit trees and plants that she could donate.</p>



<p>My surprise was very pleasant, because just like magic, the purchase of a cardigan turned into a donation for <strong>PASAC</strong>.</p>



<p>It is worth mentioning that during the day Denisse sent me a list of more than <strong>10 plants and trees that she can donate</strong>, and our urban teacher Samuel, has reviewed the list, giving the go-ahead to all of them.</p>



<p>So we already have a donation. As soon as the donation is made, I will be happy to share pictures.</p>



<p>For me, these first <strong>11 months </strong>of being in this project have been full of magic and every day something or someone adds to <strong>PASAC</strong>.</p>

<p>In a city with a lifestyle as fast-paced and full of distractions as Tijuana is, sometimes we feel it is a real challenge to find calm and serenity in our schedules.</p>

<p>In the midst of all the constant noise, meditation can become our only source of tranquility and inner peace. Not surprisingly, those who practice this activity discover moments of stillness and deep connection with meditation, as it is an ancient practice that allows us to explore our mind and discover more about ourselves.</p>

<p>Next, we will explore what meditation is and how it can benefit us in our daily lives from reducing stress and anxiety to improving our emotional well-being and how it all relates to <strong>PASAC</strong>. The upcoming Sustainable Agroforestry Park in the city of Tijuana.</p>

<p>First, it is important to note that although meditation is a practice with great value and importance in the world, in Mexico it is still unknown to many people, it is mistakenly believed that it is a practice reserved for a privileged few in the country or that it is difficult to access. However, it is important to note that this is not so, meditation is free, it does not require great effort, only perseverance and practice, that means that it is available to everyone, regardless of age, gender or beliefs.</p>

<p><strong>Let&#8217;s define what is meditation?</strong> Well, meditation is a practice that invites us to stop, to find a moment of calm and silence in the midst of our busy lives. It is an act of being present and aware of yourself in a moment. It is an occasion to calm down and let go of what is troubling you.</p>

<p>After all, you spend 12 hours a day, thinking about your worries, problems, the future, debts, traffic… Believe me, a few minutes where you escape from all that, your brain will find a real relief.</p>

<p>When we meditate, we seek to create an inner space of stillness, freeing us from those worries and distractions that we carry with us. You don&#8217;t need much to do it, we just sit in a comfortable position, close our eyes and concentrate on our breathing. We observe how the air enters and leaves our body, focusing on the physical sensations this produces.</p>

<p>As we focus on the breath, our mind begins to calm. Although thoughts or distractions may arise, we do not judge them or become attached to them. We observe them with neutrality and let them pass, returning our attention to the breath again and again.</p>

<p>Even with this small description, it is important to remember that there is no right or wrong way to meditate, each person can find their own approach and style that works best for them, it is just a matter of including this activity in your daily routine, to find which way you feel more comfortable and then progressively increase the times until you find the ideal way for us.</p>

<p><strong>There are many researches around this practice, which have shown that meditating is effective to improve our mental health, to mention some of them, first:</strong></p>

<li>Mitigates the effects of stress.</li>
<li>Positively affects the immune system.</li>
<li>Improves attention span and concentration.</li>
<li>Improves memory and cognitive functions.</li>
<li>Enhances the emergence of positive thoughts.</li>
</ul>

<p><strong><br />Now do you know more about the importance?</strong> Well, that is why in <strong>PASAC </strong>we seek to integrate a place of peace that facilitates this activity, integrating a meditation center dedicated to Mother Teresa of Calcutta, where activities and resources will be offered to provide an ideal space for this practice, including activities of guided meditation sessions, classes and workshops, retreats and meditation days, a viewpoint at the top of the facilities to appreciate the city in tranquility and of course spaces 100% dedicated to this practice where we will even have some of the relics belonging to Mother Teresa among others. <strong>With this and combining the four pillars in PASAC:</strong> Exercise, cultivation, culture and finally meditation, we seek that the Sanchez Taboada neighborhood can have a social rehabilitation of the environment, improving the health and welfare of the community while strengthening the values.</p>

<p>Many of us usually go to the supermarket to do our shopping, among which something that is never missing are fruits and vegetables, some vegetables and foods that come from the soil. <strong>But, has it ever crossed your mind, what could you plant and grow?</strong></p>



<p>There is a way to do it, these spaces are not only for large fields, but also for cities, they are known as urban gardens.</p>



<p><strong>Have you ever heard this term?</strong> To explain a little about these, we can say that they are cultivation areas established in urban areas with a lot of population, exactly like our city of Tijuana.</p>



<p>We know that, in cities, both in Mexico and around the world, we often lack that touch of nature in the streets and in our daily lives.</p>



<p>This is something that we see as normal, with so many worries and pending things that we carry, the routine ends up absorbing us and we begin to ignore these truly important aspects.</p>



<p>Green should be more present in our lives, as well as a truly healthy diet, and what these gardens offer us is a solution that we can all adapt to our lives.</p>



<p>These gardens can be found in a variety of places, from small planters to larger areas such as parks.</p>



<p>In them, a wide variety of delicious and healthy plants are grown. You can have fresh vegetables, green legumes such as chickpeas or peas. Also herbs, flowers and ornamental plants, which are those plants dedicated to aesthetic use, such as rose bushes.</p>



<p>One of the interesting things about urban gardens is that we can create them in our own homes, adapting to the space we have available in our homes, making use of special techniques you can grow in pots, use recycled containers or even try hydroponics, a method where plants grow in water with nutrients, without soil, thus ignoring the problems that arise from the land.</p>



<p>There are many benefits to doing this practice, first of all, you will enjoy access to fresh and healthy food. By harvesting your own produce, you promote a more nutritious diet and reduce expenses compared to processed and transported food across the country. In fact, there is a big difference in taste and even a noticeable quality improvement when it&#8217;s your own food.</p>



<p>In addition to the personal benefits, we contribute to the improvement of the environment. Heat waves are a trending topic in Mexico, as densely populated cities have suffered unbearable temperatures. This phenomenon is due, in part, to the lack of green areas and deforestation.</p>



<p>However, with your garden, you contribute your grain of sand, believe it or not, because plants provide shade and help water evaporation through transpiration. In addition, they contribute to the absorption of carbon dioxide and the production of oxygen, improving air quality. In short, from your own home you can do a great help against city pollution.</p>



<p>And that&#8217;s not all, growing your own garden also gives you a special connection with nature. Watching your plants grow and harvesting your own food is really satisfying. Every little achievement and breakthrough you make feels like an indescribable joy, partly because you are ultimately creating new life.</p>



<p>In itself, this connection with nature has a positive effect on your emotional well-being and helps reduce the stress associated with our busy lives.</p>



<p>Also in education and environmental awareness, these gardens are a way to educate your own children about the life cycle of plants and the importance of agriculture itself.</p>



<p>In fact, there are countless other benefits. That is why there are many workshops, talks and educational activities to learn and discover everything about this way of life, which is also part of the work we will do in <strong>PASAC</strong> because we want to show people a new trade, where also right there in the park they will get a space that will allow them to put into practice what they have learned and thus obtain their own benefits, either economically through the sales of their crops or emotionally, depending on what each person is looking for.</p>

<p><strong>Keeping ourselves moving and active is something we should do frequently, but have you ever felt that it is not very present in your life?</strong></p>

<p>Maybe the intention of keeping fit, moving or<strong> &#8220;stretching your legs&#8221;</strong> has crossed your mind, but you have not been able to do it, and well maybe it is not your fault, there are many reasons why we can not always give us that moment of relaxation.</p>

<p><strong>We all have something to do on a daily basis:</strong> work, prepare meals, take care of the children, take care of the home, among many others; and this is why it is completely normal that time is short and even more so when we have so many things to do.</p>

<p>In addition to these factors, there is also the lack of respecting it as something we should do. Physical activity is not something that is normally instilled in us, from our families and the education we receive. We are not accustomed to exercise or sports except on occasion.</p>

<p><strong>Following this idea, the structure of our own Tijuana also comes into play, in the midst of our constant social and economic growth, we forget something important:</strong> the lack of designated areas for sports and outdoor exercise. <strong>Sometimes our bodies yearn to move, yes, but where?</strong></p>

<p>This is one of the advantages of implementing a new park, <strong>PASAC</strong>, the Agroforestry Park of Tijuana seeks to be a place where you can exercise for free and safely with your family. It is also very important that it is close to you, specifically in Sanchez Taboada, one of the most emblematic and popular neighborhoods in the city of Tijuana, but unfortunately it does not have this type of facilities.</p>

<p><strong>Let&#8217;s start by exploring more of the benefits that physical activity can bring us:</strong></p>

<p>We start with the improvement of cardiovascular health: which is a topic of great importance, since in Mexico around 220 thousand people die every year due to ailments related to this area. It is important to realize that physical activity helps to strengthen the heart and improve circulation, reducing the risk of heart disease, such as hypertension.</p>

<p>At the same time, physical activity is an excellent alternative for weight control, as well as to develop and tone muscles, keeping our body in shape, this by burning calories and helping to maintain a good functioning of the metabolism.</p>

<p>Physical activity not only helps our body, but also our mind. Have you heard the term mental health? Currently it has become a very popular topic in social networks, due to the pace of life in which we find ourselves, increasingly hurried, in which sometimes we are not aware of how much we demand and demand from our bodies.</p>

<p>One practice that can help us release stress, tension and more, is regular physical activity, which stimulates the release of endorphins that generate feelings of wellbeing and happiness. This helps reduce stress, anxiety and depression, thus improving mood and overall mental health.</p>

<p><strong>Other benefits we get from physical activity, which at the same time contribute to our mental health are:</strong></p>

<ul>
<li>Improved sleep.</li>
<li>Increased energy and endurance.<br />Improved concentration.</li>
<li>Promotion of discipline and self-confidence, aspects that have too much weight in terms of how we perceive ourselves.</li>
<li>Formation of values (such as discipline, teamwork, honesty and respect).</li>
<li>Finally, it also gives you greater physical skills (coordination, agility, strength and endurance).</li>
<li>I only mention a few aspects, however, there are countless others.</li>
</ul>

<p><br />Now it is important to ask ourselves a question: how to overcome the challenges that prevent us from taking full advantage of the benefits of physical activity in Tijuana? Well, it is precisely one of <strong>PASAC&#8217;s </strong>objectives, to implement a new park in Tijuana, which encourages the practice of physical and recreational activities, implementing infrastructure that allows us to practice sports outdoors, and not only individually, but with the whole family completely free of charge.</p>

<p><strong>Implementing even outdoor exercise classes, walking groups, inclusive sports competitions for all ages and skill levels, can you imagine having a place where everyone has the opportunity to discover and explore their physical abilities in a completely familiar place?</strong> That&#8217;s exactly what we want to achieve with <strong>PASAC</strong>, Tijuana&#8217;s Sustainable Agroforestry Park.</p>

<p><strong>The next Sustainable Agroforestry Park is a passionate non-profit organization located in the city of Tijuana in Baja California, our mission is to address an important need in the city:</strong> To develop and increase organic farming spaces and of course more green areas for everyone!</p>



<p><strong>Have you noticed the lack of these spaces?</strong> According to data from the World Health Organization, 16m² of green areas per person are recommended to ensure their wellbeing. <strong>Do you think Tijuana complies with this request?</strong> The reality is that it does not, since we only have 0.44m², which is not even 10% of the recommended amount. And this without taking into account that the population is constantly growing, but we want to change that!</p>



<p>We currently have one hectare of land, where we are planning what will soon, with your help, be a beautiful 10,000 square meter green space in the Sanchez Taboada neighborhood, where everyone can connect with nature and find the peace, as well as the physical and emotional well-being that we all deserve.</p>



<p><strong>PASAC is made up of a group of enthusiastic people who share the same passionate goal:</strong> to bring about positive and impactful change in every individual who visits us. Our mission is clear and powerful: we seek the integral renewal of all people who come to our place, offering a space of peace and revitalization of human and spiritual values.</p>



<p>We firmly believe in the power of nature to transform lives, that&#8217;s why we are focused on planting green areas and teaching the important impact that respecting the environment can bring to your life, so that together we can feel more connected to the earth, to ourselves and even to our spirituality.</p>



<p><strong>Our work is based on 4 areas we call pillars:</strong> cultivation, exercise, culture and meditation. <strong>Based on this, we want to implement exciting activities:</strong></p>



<p><strong>Planting green areas:</strong> We seek to make available to everyone training in agriculture to apply this knowledge in our daily lives, specifically we want to teach and implement workshops that talk about the importance of sustainability and how to get benefits from it. Making use of the planting areas in the park or teaching the importance of urban gardens to implement it in our homes, additionally, our park will have an orchard, a nursery with native plants and chicken coop for egg production and compost, ponds for irrigation, among many other areas.</p>



<p>Exercise will be carried out through physical activities, walking different trails around the park and using professional exercise equipment, thus promoting an active and healthy life.</p>



<p>We will be promoting culture through events and programs that enrich our lives, offering job training and human values.</p>



<p>We will have study and work spaces, where people will be able to share knowledge and experiences, and we are very excited to bring other entities that care about the environment to share their experiences.</p>



<p>Finally, for those seeking a deeper spiritual connection, we are excited about building our sanctuary at the top of the hill. A space for everyone to find their connection with divinity according to their beliefs, without discrimination of any kind.</p>
